love always,

Dorothy

Dorothy Stratten was a gifted actress and Playboy Playmate of the Year whose beauty, talent, and ambition were taking her places. She was landing film roles, building a career in Hollywood, and leaving behind the man who discovered her - Paul Snider, her estranged husband who couldn't accept that she'd outgrown him.

On August 14, 1980, Paul murdered Dorothy. She was 20 years old.

Dorothy didn't die because of her choices. She died because a man couldn't handle her power, her success, her autonomy. She was punished for being fully herself.

The Dorothy Stratten Foundation exists so that never happens again. We build community for women reclaiming their bodies, their stories, and their lives. We're creating spaces - online now, brick-and-mortar soon - where women can be powerful without being punished for it.

We're launching Feb 28 and need your help!

Mission

At Love Always, Dorothy, we meet survivors at their most dangerous moment — when they're ready to leave. We provide immediate, practical support and become part of your community for life. We also welcome family members who want to help someone they love or who are healing from loss.

75% of DV homicides occur when women try to leave
